fact- Ishi was the last known member of the Yahi people in California.  After about 3 years of living alone he emerged from the wilderness trying to foarge and was captured in 1911.  He spent the last 5 years of his life living as a janitor and being studied by UC Berkley.  He befrinded his doctor, Saxton Pope (who is the Pope in the Pope and Young club) and he taught him to make traditional bows and they hunted together.  However, that friendship didn't prevent Pope from going against Ishi's wishes and performing an autopsy when he died.

Big highlight of the day was going to Costco.  Getting the berries was a bit of a challenge since lots of people kept going into the refrigerated section.  It took me 3 attempts to get everything.  Almost everyone was social distancting correctly but there were a couple of people who were not being careful.  After we got back we grilled 12 burgers (and froze most of them).  Since the recording, transcript, rerecord process worked so well I've decided to do that for the rest of the lectures.  So tonight I did the first recording for Thursdays lectures.  Doing this adds a lot of time but it also means i get about 5 extra minutes of lecture time by removing all the random ums and sos.
