2152 Just finishing the Yankees game (we won, even though father cursed us by saying it was a boring game, now watching Harry Potter 2
2214 Watching Harry Potter
2326  Watching fireflies with the parentals

Food: enchaladas, fruit, and veggies keylime pie for dessert

Fact: Some fireflies appear to emit a blue light, sadly its actually green and just appears to be blue due to the Purkinje effect.  This makes colors appear to shift towards the blue end of the spectrum at low light levels like dawn and dusk.  Its also why bright red flowers appear dark in low light situations

Birded for a bit after waking up since today is the first day of our competition.  My team was in 1st most of the day but is now in second.  Then we went to the beer store and stocked up also got some wine for mother.  She made a nice mask out of the lizard fabric.  Stopped at the plant store on the way home and got a bunch of plants including an orphan climbing fig that I rescued.  Once we were home I did a little bit of fanbirding stuff, we watched the first part of the yankees/SF game, then we went for a walk.  I got some new birds for the competiton and luckily my 2 kestrels were still hanging around.  Got back and finshed watching the game, discovered father had put the sunday game on instead of the Saturday game.  When i was taking the dogs out (and trying for owls) discovered fireflies were out.  They were flying at canopy level and not flashing a ton, but there were a bunch of them.  I love fireflies!
