Fact Buddy Holly's birth name was Charles Hardin Holley, the e got dropped in a contract and he kept it that way.  After leaving the Crickets he wanted to start a record label and a publisher.  He was trying to get the money together when he was killed in the plane crash.  The tour he was on was made up primarily of young musicians (Waylon Jennings was a backup) and they went from town to town in ancient buses.  It was winter and one night the bus broke down and it was so cold they were burning paper in the bus to stay warm (in fact one of the drummers went to the hospital with frostbite).  At that point Buddy Holly decided to he was done with buses and would fly to the next show.  The charter flight was 108 bucks and the pilot was 21 years old.  Tommy Allsup, who was supposed to have been on that plane still has the coin from the flip he lost to Ritchie Valens.

Food Lunch-tuna, Dinner, Shrimp

Pretty laid back day, had a couple jump rope sessions (best was 62) and worked on the Catharus data.  Had a really great Zoom meeting with Matt about Catharus and some cool stuff to try with Accipiter.  Mother and I watched father at the Good Friday service to make sure he maintained social distance or we'd change the locks on the house before he got back.  Highlight of the day obviously was Trivial Pursuit.  Our team actually didn't do too badly- we just needed 1 more pie piece, but as usual the west coasters won.  Highlights included them trying to figure out if biathalon is a thing or if it was actually decathalon and lasted 10km.  Also there was an arugement about what word another word was modifying in a quesiton and an attempt to calculate how many flowers a bee needed to visit to make 1 pound of honey (2 million, Eddie thought that was correct but Ania and Zac disagreed).  At one point maria and i both drew the same card at the same time and found out because the sports question was about the Curie wedding, what that has to do with sports noone of us knew.  After we were finished we discovered Dumas and grey kitty curled up next to eachother it was so cute.
