Fact: Conservators use erasures to clean historic books, and apparently you can now get sequence data from the errasers, including who touched the book and also DNA from the leather used in the book itself.  Since multiple individuals were used to make a single book this could give us some really cool insight into ancient animal herds along with where the leather came from.  (https://royalsocietypublishing.org/doi/pdf/10.1098/rsos.170988)

Food: lunch= posole and rice, dinner = chickenwings (grandma's recipie) friut and veggies with both

Pretty uneventful day, mostly worked on the UCEs, did a little birding, and played with the puppies.  We also went for a walk but only had time for one lap around since mother needed to get back and finish cooking.  She made chicken wings again using grandma mary's recipe.  Only issue was when she was vacuum sealing it to marinade it in the soy sauce mixture she spilled some of it into a drawer under the slurper.  It was rather messy.

Fact: Einstein's first wife, Mileva Marić Einstein also studied phyics and infact she had slightly higher grades than he did, except for in applied physics where her grades were much higher.  However, she was never granted a degree.

Food: lunch- pizza and dinner- salmon, with fruit

The most important part of the day was winning at Trivial Pursut.  We played the 1983 addition.  Somehow the normal dream team managed to pull Muhammad Ali out of a hat when there was a question about a boxer who performed on Broadway but we prevailed.  There was a disturbing quesitn about George Washington's dentures that we gave Zac the right answer on since the cards were rather out of date.  Before we played we spent an hour talking about st. marks school uniforms and of course no discussion about st. marks is complete without the depressing 4th grade reading list from Eddie and Zac's year.  Other than that picked up our order from walmart, mother cut my hair, and I had a zoom lunch with the louse people. Also, i saw an Eastern Racer (Coluber constrictor)! I love snakes.

fact: 8 copies of Birds of America have sold for over 1 million dollars.  Don't even get me started on Audubon though.

Food: lunch- posole and dinner- pizza and fruti

Worked on my lecture most of the day.  But I also braved Office Depot, Lowes, Publix, and Papa Johns.  Office Depot had it down to a science- you pay over the phone, then when you walk in they point you at a bag and you walk out.  Publix was a disaster- people everywhere, noone following the one way flow of the aisles, and they were out of chocolate syrup.  At least they had some really nice berries and bananas and i hit the lotto on paper products- got a thing of tissue, toilet paper, and paper towels.
It was very surreal hearing the announcements remanding everyone we were in the middle of a pandemic so not to get to close to anyone, not to horde food, and to obey the traffic flow.  The pizza was a pleasant change even if i forgot to ask for cheesey bread.
